Obituary: Jack Hynes

John “Jack” Hynes, St. Louis, Mo., retired SCNO Barge Lines Inc. executive, died November 1 at home. He was 86. During his 40-year career in the river industry, he served with SCNO as vice president with successive responsibility for corporate administration, fleeting operations and vice president of marketing prior to being named executive vice president in 1984.

He was a past president of Inland Rivers, Ports & Terminals Inc. and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
