Buckeye To Represent Kohler Power Systems In Chicago Area
Kohler Power Systems, Kohler, Wis., announced May 3 that it has awarded a territory expansion to Buckeye Power Sales in Columbus, Ohio, as an authorized Kohler distributor of generator sales, service and rentals for industrial and commercial customers in the metro Chicago area and northwest Indiana.
This expansion greatly increases Buckeye’s area of responsibility (AOR) on top of its current AORs in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, and it follows its recent acquisition of the assets of the generator sales, service and rental division of Steiner Electric Company, the former Kohler distributor.
“We’re pleased that Buckeye Power Sales is expanding its territory into the greater Chicagoland area,” said Jim Kukla, senior channel manager for Kohler Power Systems. “Customers throughout the area will have a single point of access for their complete power systems needs and will benefit from the significant sales and service resources available through Buckeye’s vast network across the Midwest and Ohio Valley.”
Buckeye is a third-generation, family-owned organization and is Kohler Power’s longest-running distributor at 74 years, going back to 1947.
“We have been a strong partner with Kohler Power Systems for decades and are pleased that Kohler has the confidence in our strategic growth plans with this territory expansion,” said Tom Bohls, president of Buckeye Power Sales. “Much like Buckeye, Kohler prides itself on providing customers with the highest level of consistent customer service. It’s all about building meaningful relationships and delivering on our promises every time.”
According to Kukla, Buckeye has a strong market presence and continues to demonstrate clear, strategic leadership. “Buckeye is our 2020 Industrial Distributor of the Year for outstanding performance in all categories and is the right partner to establish operations with well-trained employees to drive sales and service in this high-potential territory.”
Buckeye will represent industrial customers in the expanded territory, such as contractors, electrical engineers, specifying engineers, data center managers and facilities managers. Kohler’s residential customers in this territory will continue to be serviced by Buckeye as well as Total Energy Systems.
