Obituary: Edward Bryant Farrell Jr.
Edward Bryant Farrell Jr., 77, of Cordova, Tenn., died on May 30.
From 1973–85, Farrell worked in marine sales for Dickson Diesel Parts in Memphis, Tenn. From 1986–2003, he was the president and CEO of Memphis Towboat Parts Company, Greenville Marine & Supply and Paducah Towboat Parts Company. For a brief period, Farrell also worked for Mid-America Engine as well as NREC Power Systems. In 2011, he joined the sales staff at Hilliard Enterprises Inc. as the marine sales manager.
Farrell was the president of the Memphis Propeller Club from 1992–1993, as well as member of the board of directors for the National Propeller Club, a former member of Paducah Propeller Club and a former member of the Memphis and Shelby County Port Commission Security Committee.
In his 48 years of experience in the marine industry, Farrell was able to help numerous companies and individuals in their times of need, no matter what time of day or night it was, and did his absolute best to make sure that his friends kept their vessels moving.
