C&C Marine Opens New Office Building

On March 16, C&C Marine and Repair opened the doors to its new corporate office building in Belle Chasse, La. The new building is the latest addition to the company’s ongoing expansion, which it says reflects its overall growth strategy. 

Much of the recent expansion has been facilitated by the acquisition of the former Bean Dredging facility in 2015. The property, adjacent to C&C Marine and Repair’s main yard on the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, has added approximately 20 additional acres to the facility—including 900 linear feet of water frontage.

Adding Mooring Capacity

Aside from the new office building, the company said it is currently driving piles to add 900 feet of mooring capability to go along with more than 2,000 linear feet of waterfront bulkhead on the Algiers Canal on the Gulf Intercoastal Waterway. C&C Marine said it is continuing construction on its new state-of-the-art 83,350-square-foot climate-controlled robotic blast and paint building.

With the rapid growth of the company’s facility and the recent acquisition of the Bean yard, the new office building became a necessary addition, the company said. The old administrative offices were attached to one of the original fabrication bays from the purchase of the facility in 1999.  The new office building incorporates both technological advances and modern amenities, according to the company. The building is approximately 5,500 square feet and has 13 offices and two conference rooms. The main conference room has integrated Auto CAD capabilities for presentation purposes, as well as a 100-inch mounted monitor.  All of these additions make C&C Marine well positioned to maintain its role in the marine fabrication and repair industry.

With its 30-acre facility on the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway minutes from downtown New Orleans, La., and over 230,000 square feet in fully-enclosed shop area, C&C Marine can complete a variety of marine projects, including barge fabrication, barge repairs, new vessel construction, vessel conversions, general fabrication and barge stacking, and any other unique or highly-specialized projects.
