Van Berk Joins VOSTA LMG

Rikke van Berk took office as Director of Technology at VOSTA LMG on August 3.

Prior to joining the company van Berk worked for dredging-industry-related companies for the past 25 years.
He will be headquartered in Amsterdam and responsible for the technical division worldwide.

Background
Rikke van Berk graduated from Delft University of Technology 1981 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He began his career at Exxon in Rotterdam and in 1984 switched to Van Oord as a production estimator.

Four years later he started at Damen Shipyards Group and worked in positions in production project management and as a managing director. In his last years at Damen van Berk was responsible for all dredging equipment-related activities of the group. After 12 years in that position he left Damen for IHC Holland NV in Sliedrecht where he was managing director of the yard in Kinderdijk The Netherlands responsible for trailing suction hopper dredges.

In 2005 he started his own consultancy. An interesting project with this consultancy was to build up a state-of-the-art yard for complex workboats in India.

He is also a supervisory board member for a foundation in the Netherlands.
