NSSGA Webinar Will Address Clean Water Legislation
The National Stone Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA) will hold a Webinar on Wednesday September 9 at 11 a.m. to discuss the aggregate industry’s concerns about the Clean Water Restoration Act which removes the term “navigable” from the Clean Water Act and replaces it with a list of features to describe “waters of the United States.”
Affected industries argue that this would expand federal jurisdiction to ditches and seasonal mud puddles requiring permits to work in those water bodies with prohibitive cost increases.
The webinar will provide participants with a background of the issue a detailed overview of the legislation and how it may impact the aggregate industry and its customers. Cost is $50 for NSSGA members and $100 for non-members. Cut and paste this address to register: http://capwiz.com/nssga/utr/1/DWNWLENALI/LLUMLENFHW/3870718056
