Environmental Groups to Meet in Panama

The CEDA Environmental Commission (CEC) and WEDA Environmental Committee will hold a joint meeting in Panama March 3 through 8 2009.

The tentative schedule includes talks on environmental aspects of dredging and on the Panama Canal expansion project by international experts on the topics.

The group hopes to schedule an eco-tour of the rain forest as well as a technical visit to the expansion works.

The WEDA and CEDA environmental groups will hold joint meetings in the course of the event.
