Maritime Institute Partners With MM-SEAS
Maritime Institute, a provider of maritime training, announced March 1 that it is providing a year of MM-SEAS Pro (normally a $99 value) to all students who take a U.S. Coast Guard-approved licensing course. An MM-SEAS Pro membership includes unlimited one-on-one video calls to experts on licensing questions.
MM-SEAS is a software platform designed to simplify the process of applying for, tracking and renewing U.S. Coast Guard credentials for mariners and managing Coast Guard-license crews for employers. With more than 100 USCG-approved courses offered in Norfolk, Va., San Diego and Alameda, Calif., Everett Edmonds, Wash., and Honolulu, Hawaii, Maritime Institute trains more than 10,000 mariners each year. Its clients include government organizations, private vessel operators, merchant mariner unions and thousands of independent mariners.
“At Maritime Institute, we are dedicated to the success of our students, and this partnership with MM-Seas is a testament to that commitment,” said founder Dave Abrams. “By offering a free year of MM-SEAS Pro to every student, we are removing barriers to entry and empowering our students to confidently navigate the credentialing process.”
The free version of MM-SEAS includes interactive checklists and document management. It tracks sea days and provides reminders about expiring course certificates, medical certificates and merchant marine credentials.
