Webbers Falls Lock Closure Set For September

The Tulsa Engineer District reports that Webbers Falls Lock, No. 16 on the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas Waterway System at Mile 366.6, will be closed to navigation traffic for one week from September 11–17.

As maintenance crews prepare the work site, intermittent delays of four or more hours should be expected several days preceding the closure. All work is expected to be completed as scheduled. However, unforeseen issues could require additional time, the district said.

Waterway users are asked to check with Lock 16 for the latest information and should schedule their activities around the closure.
