Nominations are now being accepted for the 40 Under 40 and IMX Achievement Awards, to be presented at the eighth annual Inland Marine Expo, May 24–26 at the Dome @ America’s Center in St. Louis, Mo.
40 Under 40 Award
In its fourth year, the 40 Under 40 Award recognizes men and women under the age of 40 who have made significant contributions to the inland marine transportation industry.
Awards will be presented to young professionals working on towboats, passenger vessels or other commercial craft, as well as those working shoreside in the industry, including at ports, terminals, shipyards or fleets. Nominees representing professional services to the industry, such as surveyors, freight or equipment brokers, engineers and consultants, will also be considered for the award.
To be considered eligible for the award, nominees must be under the age of 40 as of May 24, 2021.
All selected nominees and those who nominate the winners will receive free registration to IMX. A recognition ceremony will be held during IMX on May 26.
IMX Achievement Award
The IMX Achievement Award has been a highlight of the event since its inception in 2014. The award recognizes individuals who have spent their career making significant contributions to the maritime industry by helping it to be the most cost-efficient, safe and environmentally friendly mode of transportation for many cargoes.
The winner of this award, along with the person who nominated him or her, will also receive free registration to the 2021 IMX, where they will be invited to a special recognition ceremony.
Nominations for both awards, due by March 19, can be received online at www.inlandmarineexpo.com under the ABOUT tab. For more information, please contact Jenn DeLuca at 314-296-1716.
