Bayou Boeuf Lock To Remain Closed Through November 15

The New Orleans Engineer District reports that a repair project at Bayou Boeuf Lock has been extended through November 15. The lock was originally scheduled to reopen about October 15.

The lock has been closed since early September for dewatering and repairs at the west end of the lock.

The Corps says the bypass route around the lock using Bayou Chene is available for passage.
