Devall Receives First COI
The United States Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit Lake Charles issued the area’s first Certificate of Inspection (COI) for Subchapter M compliance on August 15 to the mv. Capt. Al Devall, owned and operated by Devall Towing & Boat Service of Hackberry LLC.
Many Coast Guard representatives attended the event while Cmdr. Daniel Cost, commanding officer of the MSU, gave a short presentation and speech.
The event was held at the company’s headquarters in Sulphur, La. The twin-screw, 1,200 hp. Capt. Al Devall was built in 1979 by Thrift Shipbuilding & Repair.
