Obituary Notice: James A. Layton

James A. Layton, 84, a longtime grain freight trader who lived in St. Louis, Mo., died June 3. He was a member and past president of the Merchants Exchange of St. Louis, a member and past president of TEGMA Terminal Grain Elevators, director and past president of the National Grain Trade Council, and a member of GEAPS Grain Elevators Association. For the past 25 years, he commuted to Chicago to his office in the Chicago Board of Trade.
