New Boat On Maiden Voyage

Marquette Transportation Company’s new Z-drive towboat mv. Cindy L. Erickson is in service, shown here on its first trip with 28 barges on the Lower Mississippi River at Gramercy, La. The 153-foot, 6,600 hp., triple-screw vessel was built by C&C Marine & Repair LLC, Belle Chasse, La.

Marquette sold the original Cindy L. Erickson to South America last year, along with the mv. Titletown USA. After selling the latter, Marquette renamed the mv. Caroline, Titletown USA.
