Electric-Powered Dredge Launched in New Jersey

A new 16-inch electric powered cutter suction dredge has been launched through a joint project between Custom Dredge Works (CDW) Inc and Triborough Sand & Stone. The launch occurred at the Triborough Sand Plant in Voorhees New Jersey. The electric-powered dredge is more eco- friendly and efficient than traditional diesel-powered dredges. It limits air water and noise pollution and requires less maintenance. This is one of two electric dredges that CDW delivered to New Jersey this year. 
 

Triborough Sand & Stone is a division of Eureka Stone Quarry Inc. which specializes in construction aggregates asphalt and ready-mixed concrete. The company has been open for nearly 100 years. CDW headquartered in Topeka Kansas is one of the largest dredge equipment manufacturers in the United States Aggregate Industry.
