WEDA Pacific Chapter Announces Call for Presentations
The Western Dredging Association (WEDA) Pacific Chapter fall 2017 conference will be held at the Embassy Suites in Portland Oregon from October 25 to 27. The chapter also announced the call for presentations. Abstracts are due June 23.
Presentations on all aspects of dredging and disposal navigation structures environmental restoration and related topics are welcome and presentations specifically relevant to West Coast issues or projects are encouraged. Abstracts should be limited to one page. Those accepted will do a presentation but not a technical paper.
The meeting begins Wednesday October 25 with a Corps/Industry meeting and a ports meeting from 1 to 3 p.m. The 2017/2-18 federal dredging program presentation will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. A hosted ice breaker will follow from 6 to 9 p.m. The agenda on Thursday October 26 will include technical presentations and luncheon tour. Friday October 27 will continue with technical presentations and conclude with the Pacific Chapter business meeting around noon.
WEDA’s Pacific Chapter represents the West Coast of the United States including Hawaii Alaska Guam American Samoa and Western Canada.
The event will include U.S. Army Corps of Engineers industry and ports meetings federal dredging program presentation and many technical presentations.
