WEDA Annual Meeting Travels to Vancouver BC

The Western Dredging Association (WEDA) Dredging Summit & Expo 2017 will take place June 26 to 29 at the Hyatt Regency in Vancouver British Columbia.

The Dredging Summit & Expo is a technical conference organized by WEDA to promote the exchange of knowledge in fields related to dredging navigation marine engineering and construction. It will provide a forum for improvement of communications technology transfer and cooperation among associations and societies while emphasizing the importance of understanding and development of solutions for problems related to the protection and

The event starts Monday June 26 with a short course at 8 a.m. exhibitor set-up from 12 to 5 p.m. and the Welcome Reception from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday June 27 will have technical sessions and panel discussions including an address from Cliff Stewart from the Port of Vancouver. The Gala Reception and Dinner will take place Wednesday June 28 at 6:15 p.m. The conference closes at noon followed by a post-conference technical tour.

Many awards will be presented including the Environmental Excellence Awards Safety Excellence Awards Lifetime Achievement Award Dredger of the Year DCA/WEDA Best Paper Award DSC Dredging “Why Dredging is Good” Award Young Author Award and the Best Booth Award.
