FURUNO USA DEBUTED TWO NEW PRODUCTS—THE DFF3D MULTIBEAM SONAR AND THE STANDALONE COLOR LCD RADAR MODEL 1815.

Furuno’s Color LCD Radar.

The DFF3D has a sidebar detection range of more than 650 feet a depth visibilty to 1000 feet and allows scanning from port to starboard under the vessel. Four display modes are available in the  including Cross Section 3D Sounder History Triple/Single Beam Sounder and Side Scan.

The Cross Section display provides a real-time sea column echo 3D Sounder History gives 3D images of the seafloor the Beam Sounder mode displays traditional sounder images and finally the Side Scan shows high definition images of any structures under the water on both sides of the vessel.

Furuno’s new standalone Color LCD Radar Model 1815 has an 8.4 inch LCD screen 4KW randome antenna and comes with a gimbal mount. The radar features Furuno’s Fast Target Tracking which tracks up to ten targets or can track up to 100 AIS targets when combined with an AIS Receiver. Also featured are the True Trail and True View modes which show the trail or direction of a target’s movement and elminate unnecessary echos
