Port of Long Beach Achieves Worldwide Green Distinction

The Port of Long Beach was recognized on June 17 as the “Best Green Seaport” in the world at the 28th annual Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards in Shanghai China.

Through its 10-year-old “Green Port Policy” the port has reduced its impact on the community wildlife and the environment. The Port of Long Beach has improved air and water quality with environmental initiatives such as the Clean Trucks Green Flag Vessel Speed Reduction and Technology Advancement programs.
