WEDA Members Meet in Toronto
The Western Dredging Association (WEDA) will host the Dredging Summit & Expo 2014 from June 15 to 18 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto Canada.
WEDA works to promote the exchange of knowledge in fields related to dredging navigation marine engineering and construction to provide a forum for technical conferences and improve communication and technology transfer.
The 2014 summit Expanding the Dredging World opens with a short course on Sunday June 15 followed by a hosted reception and icebreaker in the exhibit hall from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The conference opening ceremonies begin at 8 a.m. on Monday June 16 followed by the first technical sessions at 9:30 a.m. At the opening ceremonies Ram Mohan of Anchor QEA LLC and WEDA chairman and president will speak along with local keynote speaker Roger Santiago the head of sediment remediation for Environment Canada who will speak on Great Lakes sediment policy; and K.A. Lundy P.E. director of infrastructure planning and environment Toronto Port Authority who will speak on dredging at the Port of Toronto.
