Saderet Supplies EdgeTech Releases

Saderet supplied Marine Scotland with 20 EdgeTech SPORT LF acoustic releases with popup assemblies including the PACS topside control equipment.

These systems were subsequently deployed together with passive acoustic loggers in locations along the east coast of Scotland. There they are investigating how the distribution of dolphins and porpoises changes with distance from the shore. Ambient noise and mammal vocalizations were recorded and processed to determine where the animals were and to distinguish between species.

After a successful start Marine Scotland ordered an addition seven EdgeTech SPORT LF releases which were delivered in March.
