Hydroid Announces 2014 Training Schedule
Hydroid Inc. announced its open enrollment training schedule for 2014. Training will focus on basic operations and maintenance with all aspects of the REMUS 100 system.
The REMUS-100 Enrollment Training Program is an intensive five-day program designed to provide attendees with an overall understanding and hands-on experience in operating and maintaining the REMUS system. The training is designed for a variety of skill levels from beginners to experienced operators looking for a refresher. Hydroid also offers customized two to 10-day training sessions based on customers’ unique training needs.
The 2014 training will take place May 12 – 15 at Pocasset Massachusetts; June 23 – 27 at Dorset U.K. September 15 – 19 at Pocasset Massachusetts and October 6 – 10 at Dorset U.K.
Hydroid’s REMUS AUVs are modular; they can be fitted with a large number of different sensors and have been used to aid in hydrographic surveys harbor security operations debris field mapping scientific sampling and mapping as well as many basic and applied research programs funded by ONR DARPA and the United Kingdom Ministry of Defense. With more than 290 vehicles in the field Hydroid has AUV systems in use by 16 navies around the world.
