ASBPA Calls for Abstracts

The American Shore & Beach Preservation Association (ASBPA) has called for abstracts for its 2013 conference to be held October 23 through 26 at the Isla Grand Resort in South Padre Island Texas. One-page abstracts are due by May 17 and should be submitted to abstracts@asbpa.org. See www.asbpa.org for additional requirements.

The theme of the conference is “Responding to Waves of Change” addressing the industry response to threats of sea level and climate change produced by devastating storms and disasters changes in legislative policy and practice in the economy in funding for coastal projects in agency guidelines and responsibilities and changes in coastal technology.

ASBPA promotes science-based policies for the preservation of coastal areas.
