GIW and Hagler Partner on Specialized Engineering

GIW Industries announced a new working partnership with Hagler Systems. The resulting partnership will be developed and released as “Engineered Solutions powered by Hagler Systems and GIW Industries.”

Nikki Rebernak GIW business development and product manager explains the goal behind this new relationship. “Hagler Systems has already developed some outstanding products that are companions to GIW pumps: special spool pieces for the suction ends and special drive skid and maintenance equipment — things that make it easier to use or package the equipment.”

Hagler Systems established by members of the same family who once owned GIW develops custom-engineered designs for dredging and mining equipment and provides technical services for the dredging and mining industry. GIW Industries is focused on the design manufacture and application of heavy duty centrifugal slurry pumps.

The initial project between the two companies will be a pump house for the oil sands market.

“No one has focused on providing this type of engineered product before” Rebernak said. “Until now solutions would be cobbled together. Accessories around the pumps were not standard and were often developed by people who didn’t understand the pumps. The equipment either inhibited how the pump works or was just ‘good enough’.”
