To the Editor: Regarding Ton Damen

Re: Colleagues Remember A.D. (Ton) Damen IDR January/February 2009 page 11.

As usual you did an exceptional job with this issue. The tribute to Ton was first class and the picture of him was excellent. I was amazed that the contributors Bowes Hairston Savage and Quinn all complemented and added to each other’s comments without prior knowledge of them or duplication. It would be nice if Ton’s sons each received a copy as I doubt if the European groups did anything like this for Ton. I for one thank you very much for what you have done.

Your coverage of Flight 1549 was also “first class”. It was a miracle that anyone survived let alone everybody aboard.
