Warner Joins Arcadis Washington D.C. Office

ARCADIS announced on August 20 that Washington veteran Ann Warner has filled the newly-created position of vice president director of Government Affairs. In this role Warner will oversee the company’s government affairs operation federal PAC and lobbying efforts focused on Congress for the U.S. operations.

“Ann brings a wealth of experience in government affairs to Arcadis” said Mark Fenner federal programs director and senior vice president. “We are fortunate to have someone of Ann’s caliber fill this important and critical position. Her expertise in government affairs coupled with her knowledge of the environmental and infrastructure industry will be invaluable as we engage in important issues related to transportation water resources environmental remediation climate change and energy security. I look forward to relying on her counsel and expertise in Washington.”

Before joining Arcadis Warner held several senior political position including vice president and manager for a global engineering firm where she was responsible for government programs and served as the chief liaison with the U.S. Congress and the administration supporting current operations and business development activities in the United States.

Additionally Warner held senior government affairs positions with major trade organizations. She began her career with former U.S. representatives Ken Kramer (R-CO) and Phil Crane (R-IL).

She grew up in the Denver area where the Arcadis U.S. headquarters are located. She holds a master in business administration degree from The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts degree double majoring in history and political economy from Hillsdale College in Hillsdale Michigan. She is a member of Women in Government Relations Women’s Transportation Seminar and Women’s Congressional Golf Association.

Malinak Joins Company

Albert Malinak has been hired as a senior bridge engineer in the Arcadis Akron Ohio office. He will work on the flood protection project in New Orleans as well as other major projects.

Malinak has 34 years of experience as a structural engineer and project manager with expertise in transportation structures. He possesses a rich knowledge of design analysis and plan preparation for highway and railroad bridges as well as associated structures. As a seasoned engineer he will provide Arcadis with unique insights that will allow him to serve as a mentor to the company’s young engineers.

He has been involved in all facets of project development from proposal preparation through project closeout including design checking and reviewing project plans cost estimating preparing construction specifications and overall project supervision. His previous project experience involved new and replacement structures as well as the rehabilitation of existing structures.
