Corn flow reverses—for now

According to a Reuters analysis, low corn stocks from last year’s drought combined with a delayed harvest for this year’s expected record crop have raised corn prices to new highs, leading to a movement of corn north to ethanol plants that are outbidding southern elevators.

If early frost doesn’t interfere with the crops, the famine-to-feast switch this fall will be the biggest in 50 years, according to Reuters.
