The Waterways Journal has announced the industry leaders who will be honored at this year’s Inland Marine Expo, to be held in Nashville, Tenn., May 31–June 2.
The IMX Achievement Award will be presented to the family of the late Capt. Mike Rushing, who passed away earlier this year. The posthumous honor will highlight his legacy of leadership, and it will be presented in a session beginning at 3:45 p.m. June 1.
The 40 Under 40 Awards, which honor young leaders in the industry, will be presented in the closing luncheon of the Expo, beginning at 12:30 p.m. June 2.
The award recognizes 40 men and women under the age of 40 who have made outstanding contributions to the inland marine transportation industry in a variety of fields.

Now in its sixth year, the 40 Under 40 Awards program continues to grow in popularity. This year, more than 100 nominations were received.
This will be the 10th Inland Marine Expo, and it is the first to be held in Nashville. Previous events were held in St. Louis, Mo.
